The dishes here use many seasonal ingredients – mushrooms, berries, and fresh vegetables grown in Lithuania. "We believe that the secret of quality food is freshness. Each portion of food is prepared only upon ordering. Pizza is baked in a handmade, authentic Neapolitan wood-fired oven, and steaks are cooked in a unique ceramic grill, using only organic, top-quality charcoal.
"We use fire to flavor all our dishes," – smiles one of the co-founders of Piatto Pizza & Grill, adding that cooking in a ceramic grill is one of the most authentic ways of preparing food, dating back 3,000 years ago in Asia, where food was cooked on an earthenware vessel called a "kamado".
