13 New Restaurants in Akropolis Kaunas

From Vietnamese to Georgian, there are many ways to treat yourself after a shopping spree.

The centrally located Akropolis mall in Kaunas has just received a major revamp worth 10 million Euros. Attention foodies – 13 brand new cafes and restaurants have just been opened, doubling the number of places to eat, drink and unwind after a shopping spree. That’s 10% of the total space available at the mall!

The mall’s new glass-roofed square on the third floor is surrounded by some of the most exciting new places to eat. The list includes Saigon, the first genuinely Vietnamese place in the city, a branch of a restaurant that has a keen foodie following in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. We also suggest you stop at Chačapuri, a Georgian cuisine restaurant (Lithuanians love Georgian cuisine!), and Burmistras, a place representing modern Lithuanian taste. Looking for American taste? Fans of Talutti and Grill London chains will be happy to find out they’re now also serving burgers and salads in Akropolis. Sugamour, previously known for Kaunasians as the one-stop-shop for dangerously delicious desserts, now offers a full menu which is also dangerously good.

More new names on the third floor of Akropolis – check out Formosa, home of Taiwanese bubble tea, and Green Cafe, masters of the perfect coffee (there are two cafes run by them in Laisvės Alėja, and we love them both). The name of yet another newcomer Olive Kitchen Pizza and Grill House says it all.
