Vytauto avenue in Kaunas is one of the most important axes of the city, as this is where both the Railway Station and Bus Station are located – the historical street takes the visitors of Kaunas to the city centre. You can read more about Vytauto avenue in this article, and today we’d like to share some kaunastic news. One of the building complexes on the avenue, a former printing house Aušra, has been fully renovated and converted to a multifunctional business centre and SPA.
One of the main goals of the conversion project was to retain the authenticity of the space and at the same time offer a new, modern and convenient service complex to the residents and guests of Kaunas and symbolizing the resurrection of our city. The interwar spirit has remained intact and is represented by authentic concrete details, handrails and other details reflecting the ‘golden age’ in our city. Contemporary engineering solutions are incorporated in the latter, giving the complex advantage when competing with other multifunctional centres opened earlier. “It’s not a project for today – we’re looking at least five years ahead to the future”, says Marius Anglickas, one of the developers of the project.
The newly opened multifunctional centre is in a prime location – transport hubs, hotels and cafes surround it. At the same time, downtown Kaunas and its main boulevard Laisvės Alėja is a short walk away. Thus, the 13 thousand square meters are appealing to various businesses that have already settled in. The centre is also home to a 24/7 gym, an art gallery and a SPA centre.
Many kaunasians who love SPA services would often visit Birštonas and Druskininkai resort towns and make use of their historical SPA hotels. Now, they can save loads of time and enjoy Aušra SPA – the centre offers various pools, three different types of saunas, massage services and other wonderful ways to treat yourself.
