It’s absolutely smashing to have you in Kaunas, a city where peace and good vibes are overseen by… a Beast, no less! Yes, the Mythical Beast of Kaunas is a creature dwelling in the sprawling Underworld Kaunas. He only pops up in Sunny Kaunas after dark, when we’re all tucked up in bed, to make sure everything’s tickety-boo.
The new beastly fun map also makes space for a fun game for all family. Explorers are invited to visit the museums recommended by the mythical creature itself, where the whole family can have a brilliant time, visit the exhibitions and collect a special game stamp at each one. The Kaunas IN Tourist Information Centre (Laisvės al. 36) awaits those who complete all the tasks and receive all eight stamps. Until the Kaunas City Birthday celebrations in 2026, delightfully beastly souvenirs will be handed out – Kaunas Beast Heroes Club pins. By joining the club, you'll also have a chance to win the monthly prize and dive into other exciting adventures.
The most important thing – curiosity and a sense of adventure. Kaunas Beast wants your journey through the city’s museums to be not only meaningful, but fun as well. So, if you love mysteries, want to join the Heroes’ Club, and collect all the stamps – it’s time to set off on a beastly city expedition!

Both the map itself and each individual stamp were created by D. Petreikis, reflecting the unique spirit of the journey and serving as proof that you’ve experienced some truly beastly adventures in Kaunas.
Where can I get the ‘Beastly Adventures in Kaunas’ map
You can pick up the map at the Kaunas Tourist Information Centre (Laisvės Ave. 36). This is the map you’ll use to collect stamps throughout the game – so don’t lose it!
Will I get a stamp if I visit a museum on a free museum Sunday?
Yes, if the museum is part of the Free Museum Sundays programme, you will definitely receive a stamp. The most important thing is to visit the museum and explore the exhibition.
Can I just go up to the entrance and ask for a stamp?
No, stamps are given only to those who actually visit the museum or take part in an educational activity. The goal of the game is not just to collect stamps – it’s to experience beastly good adventures! The stamps and the badge are simply proof that you’ve gone on the Kaunas Beast journey.
Do I really need to buy a museum ticket to get a stamp? I was just there recently!
That’s part of the game rules – to earn a stamp, you need to explore the museum’s exhibition. Some museums take part in free admission Sundays, so you might not need to buy a ticket at all. Still, it’s worth stopping by – even if you’ve been there before. Exhibitions change, and there’s always something new to discover. Plus, you’ve got plenty of time – until Kaunas’ city birthday in 2026!
What does the Kaunas Beast pin give me? Is there anything else?
The pin is your official sign that you’ve completed all the Kaunas Beast challenges and joined the Heroes’ Club. But that’s not all! Each month, winners will be drawn by lottery to receive beastly fun prizes – Kaunas Beast or city-themed souvenirs, invitations to guided tours, or other surprises.
And most importantly – from now on, you’ll be a true Kaunas Beast!
