Have you ever thought about how many undiscovered stories, art pieces and interesting exhibits are hiding in the museums of Kaunas? We have great news for you - on the last Sunday of every month you can visit them completely for free! It is a great opportunity to get to know the heritage of the city, find out new facts and dive deep into the culture, all free of charge.

Variety of museums open their doors for you on the free museum Sundays - from literature and art to history and technology. It is a great activity for the family, friends or even solo adventures. Are you ready for new discoveries?

  • 9th fort (Žemaičių plentas 75, Kaunas) Opening hours: 9.00-17.00
  • Lithuanian museum of education (Vytauto pr. 52) Opening hours: 10.00-16.00 (Visitors are welcome until 15.00).
  • Kaunas museum-Kaunas town hall department (Rotušės a. 15) Opening hours: 12.00-17.00
  • Open-air museum of Lithuania (L. Lekavičiaus g. 2, Rumšiškės) Opening hours: 10.00–16.00 Important: The last of free tickets to the museum are issued at 3 pm. Only tickets to the Light and Lantern Festival "Forest of Secrets" are sold and valid afterwards.
  • Museum of Lithuanian aviation (Veiverių g. 132) Opening hours: 10.00-16.00 (outside exposition). Free tickets must be picked up at the box office on the day of the visit.
