Kaunas City Museum represents the city of Kaunas and its history. Originally opened in 1897, after undergoing various changes during the years, it reopened its doors in 2024. A new exhibition, prepared by an interdisciplinary team, presenting the city of Kaunas and its history, spread over all floors of the building, was also opened in the renovated town hall.

The Kaunas City Museum has five departments: Kaunas Castle, M. and K. Petrauskai Lithuanian Music History Museum, Juozas Gruodis Memorial Museum, Lithuanian Folk Music History Museum.
