A new permanent route from Warsaw to Kaunas – that’s the big news from LOT Polish Airlines! It was announced on Tuesday, December 5th, that Poland’s national carrier’s first takeoff to Kaunas will commence on May 21st, 2018.
The flight from Warsaw Chopin Airport to Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania, will last 1 hour and 10 minutes. It’ll connect the two cities six times a week on a Bombardier Q400 (78 seats). The flight from Warsaw is scheduled for10:35 PM (except Saturdays) and the flight from Kaunas for 6:15AM (except Sundays). We’re sure the new connection will boost tourism in both directions!
LOT already flies Warsaw-Vilnius five times a day and will launch Summer season flights from Warsaw to Palanga, Lithuania’s biggest seaside resort, in 2018.
